Every Country Deserves Respect
Time passes by
The flag ripples in the sky
the flag stately stands
the children see the flag, and
feeling the breeze against their
skin- the children sing.
They sing of country
They sing of countrymen
They sing songs of honor
They sing praises in freedom's
day.
Time passes by
The flag ripples in the sky
The flag stately stands
Men and women see the flag,
And feeling the breeze against
Their skin - the men
And women sing.
They sing of country
They sing of countrymen
They sing praises, in freedom's
Day.
Every country has its flag
Every country has its heroes
Every country in the world
Sends forth its own champions
Of peace and honor.
Every country's countrymen
Loves equally the country to which
Each were born.
Every country has its weeds
Every country has its flowers.
Every country is filled with
Its own breed of giver and takers
Who plant the seeds that other
Must reap.
Time passes by
The flag ripples in the sky
The flag stately stands
Countrymen see the flag,
And feeling the breeze against
Their skin, a patriotic song
Each heart does sing,
As life carries them along.

Hard Times Are A Test Of Faith
Trust in the Lord, when things get you down
Because one's faith is tested everyday....
Believe with all your heart that God knows
Your every need- and hold to the faith that
God will make a way.
Trust in the Lord, with all of your heart
What others believe has nothing to do with you
Cling to your faith like a child clinging to his
Father's coattail...... following his father's ways.
When the day is done be thankful for the time
In the day, that you had with those you love. Be
Faithful to your faith...... and when you lay down
At night- leave no bitterness between loved one
Or friend -take steps to set things right- then
Count your blessing at the end of the day.
Trust in the Lord, when things get you down
Because one's faith is tested everyday....
Believe with all your heart that God knows
Your every need- and hold to the faith that
God will make a way.

Above The Lonely Sea
The icy wind chilled me to the bone
as I stood looking out over the
ocean, alone- except for your memory
reflecting back at me, from a million
twinkling stars, far above the lonely sea.

Hold Me Close To Your Heart
My love, as I set here thinking of how much I love you,
A warmth fills me from head to toe, through and through;
And with my heart so filled with the warmth of our love,
I long for you. I need you so. I need to feel your arms around
Me; your touch..your feel.. I need to feel at peace with the
World and myself, again. The way you always make me feel.

Standing in the Dark
The sun may shine darkness, instead of daylight
~ in your time of pain.
and your days may be filled with tears;
but in the darkness an angel waits for you to accept
you have within you the strength you need to light
up the darkness you are living in; if only you can
find the faith (standing in the dark) to try again.
None can know your heartache; none can know
your fears compounded throughout the lonely
years except the one who knows you the best
the one whose been there for you
~through every test.
None can know what dreams lay wasting away
next to the angel you carry inside your heart
Because none knows the inner you (life's inner part)
None can know how you feel, though they can dry
your tears. except the one who lives, a lamp of light,
shining through the darkness to guide your way
in the night.
The sun may shine darkness, instead of daylight
~ in your time of pain.
and your days may be filled with tears;
but in the darkness an angel waits for you to accept
you have within you the strength you need to light
up up the darkness you are living in; if only you can
find the faith (standing in the dark) to try again.

Heart Writers
Heart Writers are those people
Who search their hearts for
memories worth sharing
~with the world.
Those who take painful
memories of love and loss
and sow through their poetry
comfort to those in search of
understanding.
Anyone who has ever been
touched by love can write of
love
Anyone whose life has been
touched by hate can write
about the hater and the hated.
Anyone can write about
anything and anyone; but to
write about one's self takes
courage.......
Heart writers are those poets
who reach out with their heart
to complete strangers to
give them a helping hand because
they have experienced the feeling
of total despair
and, by the grace of God, managed
to hang on to their ability to care..

Happy Birthday USA
Happy Fourth of July!
Happy 233rd birthday
USA!!!!!!!
It is time once more to
Remember the birth of
Liberty and all who made
the dream of individual
freedom a reality.
Let each of us, the children of
all past generations of
American, stand together
and reaffirm, with equal
determination as the
Founding Fathers
'We are devoted to the
high idea that all men
should live and die free.'
Let every American hold
high the Red, White and Blue
Let every American stand
proudly as old Glory passes by
and determine ourselves once
more, to do what we have to do,
to insure all future generations
their share of the American Dream.
It is time once more to
Remember the birth of
Liberty and all who made
the dream of individual
freedom a reality.
Happy Fourth of July!
Happy 233rd birthday

Spring Brings
One day Spring brings
birds and flowers
and beautiful things
That makes the heart
merry for hours..
Another day Spring brings
memories of those hours
dimmed by time but so
alive in heart and mind.

A Picture From my World
The day is bright and sunny,
Reflecting life's beauty....
Flowers are growing everywhere
Their sweet scent engulfing me..
As I listen from my office chair
To the birds singing their melodies;
To the Squirrels going about their
Business without a care,
And the rabbits eating fresh cabbage
Next to the children playing there........
As I listen from my office chair
and see the beauty that surrounds me
I think of you, when you held the baby
deer in your arms for your baby brother
to touch..
and a smile crosses my face
As a gentle wind blows through the door
and I feel our spirits touch.

Angel Child
When my beautiful child was killed
I did not think my broken heart
would ever heal;
Not a day went by that my child
did not cross my mind
I remembered certain things, and
certain times, of when my child
was mine.
Some memories made me smile
other memories made be cry
I was torn between two worlds
mine and my angel child's....
Then one day another child
reminded me, with tears in her
eyes that I still had her and she
needed me too.
It took my heart years to mend..
enough to realize that God did not
take everything away, he could
have, and still could, take all my
children......and, then I know my
heart would never-ever- mend.
My child died in the flesh but her
beautiful spirit lives on
to remind me that she lives not
with me but with her Heavenly
Father who sets on Heaven's throne.

Lost Love
To find love's treasure
only to lose love...
The heart can know no greater
sorrow.
For, the hardest thing that one can do
is to let go of love- and search for that
love in tomorrow.

Cup of Tea
There is a way of saying things
that need to be said
Without creating an enemy....
And it all begins with the me.
If religion is not your cup of tea
And no god moves your soul
that's okay with me.
I do not need for you to believe
or not believe in my god for me.
So stop trying to use my god
the one who lives inside of me
to create hate among those who
believe and those who do not
believe.
It is not a man's god that causes
others not to believe
It is the 'me' in one and how one
chooses to sweeten his own
religions' cup of tea.
There is a way of saying things
that need to be said
Without creating an enemy....
And it all begins with the me.
If religion is not your cup of tea
And no god moves your soul
that's okay with me.
I have one cup of tea only
and only enough sweetener
for one life's cup of tea.

An Angel's Wings
When trouble- times knock at your door
And you wonder 'what do I do?' how
much more?'
Look toward heaven for the answers
ask God to take care of things
Ask that all dear to you be protected
beneath an angel's wings.
Then answer the knock at the door
and you will find standing there
with out stretched wings the angel
that you asked for.
When trouble- times knock at your door
And you wonder 'what do I do?' how
much more?'
Look toward heaven for the answers
ask God to take care of things
Ask that all dear to you be protected
beneath an angel's wings.
Keep faith, put your heart into all you do
and the angel sent to watch over you
will keep you safe~ and walk with you~
your whole life through.

Dear Country of Mine
I live in the country called the USA
that the Declaration of Independence
Gave birth too in another time and day.
Those who gave her life, this dear country
of mine, made her a star of liberty, to hold
oppression at bay and shine.
Sometimes, those charged with defending
her shore failed miserably at keeping safe
the key to liberty's door...and, in the land
of the free, still hungered some who knew
not that being an American meant loving
ones country with all of one's heart. They
did not care of a country's needs, and so
they sowed, on American soil their
~'un-American' seeds....
Now, I watch as human weeds devalue
the thing called the American Way, and
lay the ground for taking from every
American their right to the American
Dream.
I live in the country called the USA
that the Declaration of Independence
Gave birth too in another time and day.
Those who gave her life, this dear country
of mine, made her a star of liberty, to hold
oppression at bay and shine.
Dear Country of mine, I have not forgot
how to love you with an American heart
When others forget, I remember why
you were given birth so long ago...... And
why your lamp of liberty will always glow.
Dear Country of mine, you were chosen
by God above, to teach a needing world
how to live and love in an imperfect world
I live in the country called the USA
that the Declaration of Independence
Gave birth too in another time and day.
'All men are created equal' the high idea
that is on the birth certificate of the USA,
Is still my country's driving force today...
Time may rob her of her shine and dull
her rightful place in the world today-
but nothing on earth can make void the
greatness of the past history of the USA.

Natural Beauty
There are visual sites in countries around the world
that can take one's breath away by their sheer
splendor-and statue...
But no sight on earth, old or new, that one's eyes can
behold can compare to the
natural beauty of the love that moves a world always
from the depths of mankind's' soul.

An Angel's Good-Bye
Years ago, I fell in love with you,
when your life was brand new.
And the look of love you gave to me,
I can still see
~whenever I close my eyes.
Years ago, I held you close to my
heart, when I heard your baby cries
And, until your tears dried
~I sang you lulu-byes.
Years ago, I let you stand alone,
And, with pride, watched you take
your first step, all on your own.
Years ago, I taught you your first
words, and taught you to wave your
tiny hand 'bye-bye'
Years ago, I taught you, all the
things I thought every child
needed to know: First of all, always
tell the truth-no good can ever come
from lies.
Years ago, I fell in love with you,
when your life was brand new.
And the look of love you gave me,
I can still see
~whenever I close my eyes.
Years ago, I held you close to my
heart, when I heard your baby cries
And, until your tears dried
~I sang you lulu-byes.
Years came and went...Years ago,
You were my baby waving bye-bye
Years ago, the longest good-bye,
the longest we have ever been apart
You raised your hands toward heaven
and with an angel's wings reached
out to say bye-bye and touched
your mother's breaking heart.

Morning Thoughts
Why write of your own love
If you have no love to share beyond
your own world?
If I love today, I love always.
Why scream for world peace, when none
can be found in your own house?
I'll live this day, as the day before, one
moment at a time.
Awake, and see the beauty around you
For beauty is there, hidden beneath the
wings of the ugly passing through.

Found
I fell and pulled myself up.
I stumbled and caught my
Balance.
I lost my direction and found
my destiny.
I sinned and found God's
Forgiveness.

Thoughts of the Day
We live in a fast moving world
filled with shattered dreams
that bit by bit are put back
together with self esteem
and a little time by those who
know when to draw, and when
to cross the line.
What be broken can be fixed
with a little patience in the mix.
Be happy in the day when your
heart is broken in two
Keep faith in your God and
good things will come to you.
Never to young or to old to
learn when for knowledge your
heart does yearn.
There are many who seek
recognition when they know
not themselves.
World peace eludes the war
makers who thirst for blood
but reaches out to the peace
maker who hunger for truth.
You are who you are
Nothing more, nothing less
Be the best of who you are.
A little sweat mixed with tears
tastes salty to one who knows
not the ways of a poor man
that he lives by the sweat of his
brow....even when his heart
cries out for rest.

God,
You have walked with me all my life, there's
no doubt
That's not what this letter's about.
I was just wondering as I set here today
Why give so much to some, and from others
take so much away.
First, through my mother's womb you gave
me life
She cried when I was born, as I was placed
in her arms.
She was a wonderful mama! I thank you, for a
mama who always put her child first even when
things were at their worst.
My mama's dream was to have a home filled with
things she loved...While she loved my dad, who
always held a special place in her heart, she loved
the young and the old- they seemed to bring a
song to her soul.
My mama and daddy were born poor in worldly things,
just like me.
But they raised the children that you gave to them with
the treasures from inside their heart, that from your
ways their children would never part.
Don't get me wrong, it was my daddy who by action
and deed planted strength of character inside me. But
mama was a gentle soul it was her caring ways I tried so
to follow as I grew old.
God, you gave me so much, my whole life through, did you
realize you gave me more than my share of love
Is that why every now and then you reach down into my day
and take some away?
I don't blame you God. Everything I was, am, or was ever
meant to be, I owe it all to you.
You have walked with me all my life, there's no doubt
That's not what this letter's about.
I was just wondering as I set here today
Why give so much to some, and from others take so much
away.
Mama and Daddy have long been taken from me to live on
streets of silver and gold and to worship at your feet
That's the way you would have it be.
They were my beginning on my way back to you.
Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for me
and if you need to take something else from me today
help me to not be bitter, and help me to understand that all
things are truly yours to give~ and to take away.

Remember America's Heroes
Asleep are America's heroes
In graves row by row
Buried in fields where poppies
Grow.
Asleep the dead soldiers
Who died for their country
On battlefields far from home,
That your freedom and my freedom
Might live on.
America, for them, hold old glory
High! Never let her fall
Do it for your offspring and
For those who gave their all.

Love's Dawn
My Dearest Love:
Our love has endured much over the years.
Now, it is time to let you know the good
times have by far out- weighed the tears.
For every tear our love has endured my love
for you has only grew stronger throughout
the passing years.
Tho, there were times in the dawning of our
love when uncertainty sneaked in-
I knew both our hearts had been burned and
neither wanted to go through that again.
In the dawning of our love, as we grew closer
day by day, in time I realized our love was not
like the love that got lost along life's highway.
In the dawning of our love Our love was based
on trust......
From the beginning, we both agreed distrusting
each other was not for us.
In the dawning of our love our love was built on
mutual respect......
We respected each others right to be who we
were born to be......
there was no pretending for you or for me.
Our love was the once in a lifetime kind of love.
The kind of love that from it's dawning~ was meant
to last us a lifetime.
Today, I want you to know my love for you has
changed not......
From the dawning of our love I have loved you, and I
will always love you with all of my heart.

Once, Before I Knew Your Name
Once, you were only a dream that I clung to,
Not sure if my dream would come
true
Once, I could only imagine the sound of your
voice speaking words of love to me,
For, you lived only~ in the thoughts
Inside of me...
Once, before I even knew your name I loved
you.
And, now that I have you in my life,
And have heard my name fall from your lips,
I no longer dream of loving you
You are my dream come true...
Before I knew your name, I loved you.

Things You Will Not See
When you look at me
You can tell a lot
About the physical me
But you will know not
The things in my heart.
You can see that I have
Black hair on my head
But the thoughts inside
My head are not there
For your eyes to see.
When you look at me
You can tell a lot
About the physical me
But you will know not
The things in my heart.
When you look at me
You can tell a lot
About the physical me
You can see the wedding
Band on my left hand
But you cannot see the
Love that was given to me
With the ring.
When you look at me
You see the way I Look
Today.
But you cannot see
the memories
That makes me who I am
Today,Or
all the ghost I have collected
Along life's Highway.

Soaring With Eagles
For love of
country
I lived and I died
I now soar with the
Eagles
Overlooking
All I hold dear
Beneath
My angel wings.
With my Wings
I now cover those
I left behind
Praying with
Their spirit
That each will find
Peace of
Mind.
Duty took me
To my grave
My faith raised
My spirit high
My undying love
For God and Country
Led the way to
Heaven's stairway
That I walked up
To receive my wings
That day.
It is with that same
Kind of love
My wings
Reach down
From up above
To touch you
With my love
From out side in
My brothers
My sisters
My war time
Friends
Who made it
Safely home
Believing they
Had left me
Behind.
From a far
I watch your back
With the eyes
Of an eagle
Think not
That I am gone
I was killed in war
But my spirit
Lives on
I Did not die
I just went home.

Life
Life is such a fleeing thing
So fast life slips away
One moment the sun shines
The next thing you know
The moment is lost in time.
Life is such a short journey
Shorter for some than others
As life slips away, we find.
One moment you are holding
A loved one in your arms
The next moment touching
The loved one only with your
Heart.
Life is such a wondrous thing
Filled with so much hope for
Tomorrow
Yet, for so many, filled with so
Much sorrow.

The Birth of Peace
The birth of
Peace
Happened long ago
On the cross at Calvary
When Jesus hanging there
For all mortal eyes to see
Looked upward into sky
knowing it was His chosen
Time to die
And asked
With tears in his eyes
' Father, Why have thy
Forsaken me?'
The birth of Peace
Sweet, sweet peace
Did not just happen
You see.
It was written in Heaven
That God's only begotten
Son was destined to die
That he would rise again
From atop a hill called 'Calvary'
So that the disbeliever
May believe.
The birth of Peace
Sweet, sweet peace
Did not just happen
You see.
From the moment Jesus' mortal
Life inside Mary's womb begun
Because of God's love for you
And me
God destined his only son
To bleed, die, and be raised again
As a sign of his power
In man's final hour.
The birth of Peace
Sweet, sweet peace
Did not just happen
You see.
Like all things good and
Honorable
Peace begin with God's decision
To crucify what was
Dearest to his heart at Calvary
For mortal eyes to see
As a show of his great love for you,
And for me.
The birth of Peace
Sweet, sweet peace
Did not just happen
You see.
Jesus died and rose again
To save us all from sin
But before his life on earth did end
And his work on earth was through
With his final breath , he begged his
Father:
'Father, Forgive them. For they know
Not what they do!'

My Angel
You are an angel in heaven
today
Losing you took some getting
use too, after you went away.
I was lost when I looked to
see your sweet face
and had to accept you now
live in a far away place.
Since you left this earth and
all things below
to brighten heaven with your
beautiful glow....
I have thought many a time
what I would do
If I had the power to turn
back time... to be with you
I would turn back time
to when you were mine
and tell you how much I
Love you, one last time.
Then, I'd squeeze you and hug
you so tight to my heart
and promise you again 'No matter
how far life takes you away from
me you will always be a part of me
Together or apart, I will always
love you- with all my heart.'
Years have came and gone
I have found that time stands still
for no one- it has not been easy
letting you go and I will always
miss you down here below, but, now,
I understand, even tho I cannot hold
you with my arms, I can still touch you
with my love and sup with you in my soul.
Gone but not forgotten
Gone but never far.......

Words
Why waste words
When just a few words
Will do?
Words without meaning
Is like loving without
A heart.
Say what you feel
But silence is golden still
When one rambles to keep
From saying how one truly
Does feel.
For what is said in anger
And without much thought
Has many a heartbreak
Brought.
Say what you mean
Mean what you say
Put your heart into it
Then let things lay.
A wise man never thinks himself
Smart enough -to stop learning.

Fear Of Loving
Again
Our love has been tested
over the years-and lingers still,
the memory of the bitter tears.
So much hurt so much pain
so little trust so much sorrow
so afraid of loving again.
We did in deed suffer in the
beginning of you and me...
for what awaited us at the end.
But with each passing day
of being together we learned
from failures and weakness
the true meaning of love.
For there are many kinds of
love- many meanings of love
and we being human do love
by degree......
Our love was
not
our first love. there were
others for you and me.
We were young so full of life
in search of a perfect love
Yet it took years for us to
realize all the hurt and pain
was caused from our fear of
loving again.
There would be no happy times
if not for the hard times that we
got through together.

You Are My Dream Come True
The love of my life, I stumbled up on
When life looked so dark, and I felt
So alone.
I did not know that behind the two
Blue eyes looking at me lay the
Answer to my life long dream.
We were as opposite as day and
Night, to me I was the darkness
And you were my light.
We were as different as two people
Could be- for the bad that I was,
You brought the good out in me.
I was your angel and you were the
Lover of my dreams
Together our love was stronger than
Anything.
Now, that the years have been spent
And we are still together, you and I,
And, still as opposite as day and Night,
I want you to know, you were my light.
Who would have ever believed it
Was the difference in me and you
That drew us together, and kept
Us together-our whole life through.
Thank you for being you.
My light ,my lover, and my life long
Friend. I love you, more than you can
Ever know.
You are my dream come true.
I love you with all of my heart
Always have....
Always will......
After everything is said and done,
I love you, still.

Your Three Little Words
When I asked you for three words
that meant the most to you,
you said 'I love you'
And my heart skipped a beat
I wanted to cry your words were so
sweet.
Then I got to thinking about writing a love
poem using those three little words of yours
especially for you~ to tell you that no matter
what I love you too.
I started out just fine ~ as anyone can read
'I love you' but finding other words to describe
my feelings for you was not such an easy thing too do?
I love you now. I love you always
I love you every day
I love you, I love you, I love you
I love you in so many ways.
I love you in the morning
Rain or shine.
I love you in the night time
And I am thankful you are mine.
I love you when you are with me
I love you when you are not
I love you for loving me
I love you with all my heart.

The Meaning of Love
Love. How many search for love
only to find love not
what they seek with their heart?
How many find love and push love away?
How many expect love when they themselves
know nothing of what it mean to be in love?
Is love a hunger or is love an unquenchable thirst?
Does love bring out our good or does love bring out our worst?
Many search their whole lives through
For love-never to know love.
Many have found love, and pushed love away,
Feeling unworthy of love, not knowing that it is
Love that give value to those our hearts cling too.
Love seeks not recognition beyond the heart
Love needs not a reason for being
Love feeds the heart of some and starves the soul
Of many.
Many seek love only to find love and turn love away.
It is not love that changes lives
it is the heart in man
And how he lives once he has found love.
Many have tried to leave love behind,
only to live
With the ghost of love in the day.
For those who seek love.... seek first to find
the
Love, that will feed heart every day, from the inside.
For often ,unknowingly, the love that is reaching out,
Having never known love, one's own heart will push
away.
Accepting always, that the love your heart gives away
no longer belongs to you-that your spent love lives with
Another, your whole life through.
Let not fear, of loving and being loved ,deny you of the
love that seeks to live with you your whole life through
Cherish love ...open your heart to love, and be thankful
for the love that lives with you.

You Were Made For Me
When you took my hand inside your own and
I felt the warmth of your touch , I knew
Somehow, your hand was made for holding
My hand....
When you leaned over and your lips gently
touched my lips, and I got all shaky inside,
I knew your lips were made for touching my
Lips...
When you put your arms around me and drew
Me close to your heart. so close that I could
Feel your heart beating next to mine, I knew
Without a doubt, that we were made for each
Other.
Then, when you started to leave and I could
Not stand the thought of not being close to
You, I just knew~
You were made for me to love.

Tomorrows Dreamers
We are each a flicker of light
in a world that's gone a stray
A candle of hope, for those yet
to be born, lighting the way.
We are each a part of yesterday's
dreams that never quite died
tho the dreamers now sleep
We are the here and the now
from amongst us comes those
who lead us to fore fill the world
destiny.
Let us come together in the
name of 'Peace' and unite in mind
and heart and determine ourselves
for future generations, that we too
shall leave our dreams behind
for others to build on, and
for our offspring to find.
For as long as the dream for world
peace live in one flicker of light
A flame of peace it can in one
generation ignite.
We are each a flicker of light
in a world that's gone a stray
A candle of hope, for those yet
to be born, lighting the way.

Nature's Own Soul
The tree stands tall against the sky
its branches reaching out to welcome
the birds passing by.
As children playing in the tree's shade
stop to sip from glasses filled with
sweet-lemonade.
When nature and innocence come
together, peace comes alive..
No sweeter sight can one behold
then the one created by nature's
own soul.
