The Eagle's Scream

America deserves the best ....

….She has been bent and swayed
but she has passed the test.

America is more then the home
of the brave the land of the free
she's the place where the eagle
flies and with an eagle's eye guards
liberty from the sky.

Where Lady Liberty stands in old
age just as proud as she did when
she welcomed the first immigrants
to America's shore.....

Yes, America deserves much more from the
offspring of those who suffered to keep her free
And, unless we heed the eagle's scream warning
us danger lurks within, future Americans will lose
the right to the American dream, and have to fight
for their liberty all over again.

Being an American carries with it the duty
to defend a way of life based on the theory
that regardless of one's status in life each of us
have the God given right to live and die free.

The real American heroes are those who
would sacrifice not just life and limb for liberty
but would give up a little bit of their own freedom
for the good of the many, if the need be.

It seems only right, with election time growing
near, to remind those who will be casting a vote,
of their duty to country, and fellow countrymen-
cause you see I've lived the American dream,
and tremble at the thought that somewhere in
future time America's offspring will awaken to find
their liberty left behind.
